Dear Friends:
Just checking in on this 20th anniversary of the Twin Towers attack after once again checking to see if my efforts to reason with the Googles have borne any results. So far no responses to my emails and ironically I am within 150 miles of their corporate headquarters and can sue them in the Court of Small Claims for $14 which would mean they would have to use some of their high-priced lawyers to respond and the whole episode could cost them thousands of Dollars!
If I were 20 years younger I would do it in a minute, but at 85 that kind of thing is just not a lot of fun when I have far better things to do that will give me a bigger bang and address many more people as two major publishers have thrown me a couple of bones and I am working on pieces for them that will have a far greater impact than I could get in the alleys of Google.
I have long thought it psychologically significant when a group gives their enterprise a funny name. I am beginning to understand how and why that happens. They have come and they will go.

DeleteThank you much for your remarks and while I have missed doing it, but I have recently been busy with some book business and Google has not responded to my communication attempts so I am less optimistic than I was earlier. If I launch somewhere else, which I can and use anything here as it is under my copyright I will announce it here, but I would prefer not to have to go through all that. I think Google will see the light. They are not stupid, just juvenile.

ReplyDeleteI have been messaging Google about the editing problem and have yet not gotten a response. I have long-thought this was a service to which they paid little attention and now I seem to be confirming that fact.
DeleteHey Cousin! Great to see you here again, I had almost given up hope. Today I bought the Kindle version of your book "A long way from Normal", having given away the hard copy some time ago. I still have my paper/bound copy of The Stock Surfer and I might just see if the math and today's volume still holds up. Cheers! jv
DeleteSometimes I just have to be glad I can't seem to hide and this is one of them. I don't know how this is going to turn out as all the Silicon Valley folk, save my friend John Nady and his marvelous wife Toby, are solid Republicans, but all the rest are Democrats! And, the Googlers seem to be on my case. God, I have not thought about the Stock Surfer in a long time but have thought of getting back into trading bot only after one more book I must write

I am still not able to get into the editor function and Google continues to ignore all my emails. Silicon Valley folk take pride their "liberalism," but how liberal is it to kill someone, or his venue, because you not only don't like what he says and am to damn stupid, ignorant and warped to respond so you shut off his venue! The nation is failing because of people of this mindset.

I am trying to find the right person at Google to complain, but am having no luck. They have been running ads on my 20 blogs here, but have not paid me the pittance they offer and my questions go unanswered. They are clearly part of the liberal cabal of California and while there are other places I could move this one to I will probably only run into another bunch of would-be socialists. I may well be at a dead loss.
ReplyDeleteI have been remiss in not paying more attention to this, but the Google people have ignored my pleas for help to get back in and that is all they have to do to force me to stop presenting stuff that upsets them. I have been working on other things and it now appears that I will develop my page on FaceBook, which I have avoided as they are more notoriously prickly than Goggle. I will make note of it here when I get under way.

ReplyDeleteI am still working on it as I have not been able to get to the Control Panel where I can make the system recognize me instead of coming in a "back door" where I do not get full access to the editorial function. Until I achieve that my efforts here are constrained and I just won't try to run it that way. This whole episode could be nothing more than a screw-up, but nobody answers my email to the "Blogspot" people. I continue to think they have tricked my system as the Google people are terminal Democrats.
ReplyDeleteFriends: I have not been able to get into the Editor function of the system so the slight lifting of the manacles the Googles have had on me were really not lifted. There is a lesson in this for all of us: If people say things to you that are "Too good be true!" they are not true. It is just that simple and the story of liberalism in a few words.

ReplyDeleteThank you much for the inquiry. Nothing has changed. I have thought of starting another blog, but I have been busy doing a couple of books I had put off. Now I have more I want to do as well as deal with "end of life" issues as I should. Not fun but important to other people in my case. I will put up a notice here if I start a new blog here or somewhere else. I am tempted to do it here to see just how determined the Googles are to quash conservatives.
