Please do not think I have a speaking relationship with Eric Swalwell, but am on his emailing list to see what he is doing.  In this episode he is taking on the free press, but then, that has long been a target of the Democrats and they have long infected it with liberalism.  

The people are still suckers for all the "free stuff" and "social justice" the Democrats say they offer, knowing well their "free everything" ideas are insane and will never pass so they can blame the shrinking ranks of conservative Republicans occasionally in power for the bills not passing.

There are many examples in economics for the realities of small business, histories of what happens when wages are raised by politicians and not businessmen responding to the latest inflation wave.  In Seattle, for example, a legislated $15 per hour restaurant resulted in the closure of several hundred restaurants as they had to raise prices to get enough money to pay the help so people stopped patronizing them.

Stories of this kind are many in the history of liberalism.  When the Federal government started giving grants to colleges to study everything, including the colleges themselves they went from small administrative staffs to bloated bureaus with legions of overpaid "Administrators" and all the trappings of the "Elected Ruling Class."

The recipients of all this largess are only too eager to grow their little fiefdoms into bigger and better bureaus.  The college boards have added all such non-educational costs to the tuition.  This has been going on since WWII and has now reached such proportions it threatens the college education system, culture and tradition.  Such is the mission of liberals like Eric Swalwell.
