As I listen to local talk radio in northern California I have the growing feeling that I am back in teacher training doing my “Mental Institution Observation” unit as we were all required to learn how to identify such afflictions for referrals to the appropriate people. In my most wild wonderings I never thought I would be considering cohorts.
As students and parents alike struggle to adjust to the “new normal” of virtual learning many parents are shocked to see how far the left bias runs in teachers such that they wonder about mental illness!
In one case, a leftist Seattle teacher took out his visceral hatred of President Trump on a 10-year old child. The teacher was provoked by a response to his question in an on-line distant-learning session, “Whom do you admire?”
One student shared his admiration of President Trump and in the “chat” wrote:
” I admire Donald J. Trump because he is making America great again. And because he is the best president the United States of America could ever, ever have. And he built the wall so terrorists couldn’t come into in the U.S. Trump is the best person in the world. And that’s why I had admire him.”
Teacher Brendon Stanton had a meltdown on camera and kicked the child out of the virtual classroom!
The child’s mother was watching and recorded what the teacher was saying. Fox News reported on the teacher’s rant:
“The example that was shared in the chat, which I went ahead and erased for us, was not appropriate right?” Stanton told the class. “Especially as that individual has created so much division and hatred between people and specifically spoken hatred to many different individuals, OK?”
He referred to Trump as an “individual” who “has spoken hate to many individuals and I don’t think is an appropriate example for a role model that we should be admiring.”
Teacher Stanton’s action sent the message children are not to think critically, but know a dictated, collective, leftist, viewpoint on everything.
Painfully, this is not an exception, but the rule in the schools since they have been unionized. This is another example of a leftist teacher pushing authoritarian political views to students by shutting down any voice disagreeing with leftist agenda.
The left claims to be all about “tolerance” but this action reveals the left will only tolerate those who agree with them.
Students must be free to state their thoughts, and not fear retribution from educators. Education should never be indoctrination, but it is today in our unionized, left-leaning schools.
In today’s union dominated schools teachers are terrified at at the thought or fact of parents listening to their lessons which is why they are trying to shut parents out of virtual classrooms.
Leftist teachers realize parents object to their teaching the LGBT agenda by taking away the “safe space” for children to express their gender if they know their parents are listening.
If teachers were really teaching a sound curriculum without political twisting and bizarre sexual ideas they would have no problem with parents listening to the sessions.
We can only hope teachers like Stanton will continue to be exposed for who they really are, and parents will then understand just how severely left is the indoctrination.
This is the time for parents to get more involved in what is happening in our schools and now that they are coming into our homes we have a good chance to put a stop to this harmful indoctrination.

When I was in grade school from 1965 to 1979, parents could sit-in on classroom activities that their child was a part of. These days, busy lives afford little time to go to the school and watch in person. However...
ReplyDeleteNow- remote learning presents the perfect opportunity for parents to observe first-hand what goes on in the classroom.
Once seen, it cannot be "unseen"... parents need to take a long look at what their children are being subjected to as part of their daily education. Then, take action by speaking up at school board meetings, PTA events, among neighbors.
Believe me, as a former teacher I wish more parents would participate as the unions have totally politicized education for the left. Their coming was one of the three reasons I left.
