The Kavanaugh Calamity

In June 2018 Democrat Christine Blasely-Ford wrote a letter to a California House Representative who passed it on to US Senator Diane Feinstein accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh of attacking her sexually at age 15 while in high school at a pool party in a private home. 

She does not explain why she would accompany two boys into a bedroom at such a party.  She claims Mark Judge, a Kavanaugh classmate was present, but mentions no chaperones or any girls she told of the incident.  These are serious inconsistencies the way these incidents unfold in a story Mark Judge  and Brett Kavanaugh say never happened!

Furthermore, Mrs. Blasely-Ford is unsure of the year or location nor does she have corroboration of any kind!  She tells two versions of the incident, one with four other people in the room, one with two.  No complaint was made to the police.  She claims no adults were present and to have been wearing a one-piece bathing suit under her clothing as it was a pool party.

Such parties always have at least two adults, usually a married couple and most often two married couples.  We do not leave groups of young people unsupervised in a home having a pool party without adults present and we never allow them to drink alcohol at such gatherings.

While teaching in Los Angeles my wife and I were invited several times to co-host several such parties by the parents of the host young people.  In eight years of  teaching we never heard of an unchaperoned party of minors and we would have as teachers where it would be the talk of the school.  We were  teaching in L.A. City high schools each with 3,000 students in upscale areas where such parties could happen, but there were very few.  All were well chaperoned and you can be sure bedrooms were "Off Limits" for couples.

The testimony of Mark Judge will be critical and given Mr. Kavanaugh's confident denials it is expected the Judge testimony will dash the Blasey-Ford accusations. Add 300 ladies who have signed letters affirming Mr. Kavanaugh showed no inclination to take advantage of women working with and under him for the 36 years since the alleged incident.  It is typical for victims to appear in numbers when such a story breaks, but this has not happened in this incident as it did so notably in the Bill Clinton scandal era when 17 such ladies appeared with some citing filed criminal complaints!
Judge Kavanaugh has had six FBI background checks given the number of  Federal posts he has had over said 36 years.  I have had experience with these after I left teaching as perhaps ten of my former students went into government service requiring security clearances and gave me as a reference.

Typically, a green or brown four door Plymouth pulls up in front of your house, two men in brown suits and shoes, wearing hats, come to your door and flash FBI credentials.  They ask many questions about the person including any of his/her friends and relatives.  They talk to all these people!

It is only logical to realize that if Judge Kavanaugh were a sexual predator, which is a more habitual than drugs criminal pattern, something would pop up in any and certainly in several of six such investigations but none have.  Kavanaugh has passed every one while the likes of Bill Clinton failed every one without reaction from one Democrat who are now fully exorcised about Judge Kananaugh!  Dare we say "Politics!"

Diane Feinstein showed her doubt about the validity of the Ford accusation or revealed she intended to use it as a last-minute bombshell by holding it from early July to mid September, two months.  If valid she is duty bound to present it to her Judicial Committee immediately.  That she held it until the last week says she discounted it and the Democrats now desperate.  This is obvious to Democrats and Deplorables alike.  This will have a significant effect on the mid-term elections. 

Mrs. Ford now says she told no one of the incident until 2012, when she was in couples therapy.  The therapist’s notes, portions of which were provided by Ford and reviewed by The Washington Post, do not mention Kavanaugh by name.  She reported she was attacked by students “from an elitist boys’ school."  The notes say four boys were involved, a discrepancy Ford says was an error on the therapist’s part which is highly unlikely as therapists are trained professionals and careful record keepers as their accounts may become evidence in criminal or civil litigation.

Mrs. Ford shows a characteristic of false attack victims:  She embellishes the story in time.  In notes from an individual therapy session the following year when she was in psychiatric treatment, she called the incident "a rape attempt in her late teens." 

In an interview, her husband, Russell Ford, said in 2012 sessions, she recounted the attack by two drunken boys. He said his wife cited Kavanaugh’s name and was concerned that he, then a federal judge, might be nominated to the Supreme Court!  This is not supported by therapist's notes.  Why did she not object to his being appointed to the Federal bench if she were so concerned? 

The White House sent The Washington Post a statement Kavanaugh issued when outlines of Ford’s account were published stating, “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.” 

There are many improbables, conflicts and missing elements in this story as the protagonist is a known Democrat Party activist.   It is obvious this is a last ditch attempt to destroy the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh or slow it until after the mid-term elections as Democrats hope to not only recover the House, but the Senate.  If they can slow or halt the Kavanaugh confirmation they can then put their own choice in place.  However this has ignited Republicans to get out and vote as mid-term turnouts are usually only 30% where Presidential elections pull 60%.

Mrs. Blasely-Ford has long been a Democrat activist and there is a photo of her, or a twin, holding a "Not My President" sign in a parade.  That she is the person holding the sign has been denied.  As well, the involvement of George Soros paying for Mrs. Blasely-Ford's lawyer has been published and denied.

Nonetheless, given her accusations, dodging and reluctance to testify, insist on unreasonable actions and strictures, like having Mr. Kavanaugh testify first, which is contrary to traditional procedure where a complainant is normally, and logically, required to state the complaint and the accused respond.  Per Blasely-Ford  all Mr. Kavanaugh could say is "I am innocent," and then Mrs. Blasely-Ford would make her complaint and under her rules Mr. Kavanaugh would not be allowed to respond.  This is unconstitutional.

Democrats seem not to realize what they are doing.  All the bizarre actions by Democrats are clearly false, disruptive and destructive.  This will increase Republican turnout in the midterm election and Democrat turnout will be depressed.  This is especially important in mid-term elections where the turnout is usually half that of Presidential elections.   Every vote is like two!
