We only have 49 days to save our democracy, Adrian.
From my work in the House, I've seen firsthand just how far Republicans will go to protect Trump from any efforts to hold him accountable. Their blatant efforts to erode our democracy -- from undermining the rule of law to ignoring Trump's attacks on the free press -- are shameful and dangerous. In my years in Congress, I have never seen anything like it. We must put a stop to it, Adrian -- so I am asking you directly:
Can I count on you to make a $3 contribution right now to elect Democrats nationwide this November? We can't wait until 2020 to defeat Trump -- we have to elect a Democratic Congress that will keep him in check right now.
For months, we've been saying that Trump's behavior and actions are not normal -- but it's not enough to call him out and then call it day. Now is the time to act -- not in November, not in 2020, but right now.
What we do in the next 49 days will determine whether we win in November and save our democracy. There are many courageous Democratic candidates who are ready to usher in a new wave of leadership and hold Trump and Republicans accountable, but they need our support to win and they need it now.

Dear Mr. Schiff:
Rather than make a cheap "Schiff hits the fan" joke I would rather be serious and note that you have been an "off the wall," "out of line" Member of Congress on the Trump matters you and your Democrat colleagues have conjured only to come up empty handed every time! Do you think the American people are that easily fooled?
This is a day when we have media coming at us every waking hour from every direction and in spite of the major media who are on your side we see two things: (1) the alternative media led by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, (2) a more aware, mentally clear and objective general public that is paying attention.
Where have you and your colleagues been the eight years of Obama when your party lost over 1200 elected Democrats as the public has caught onto your lies. You are not "for the little guy," "the downtrodden" and minorities.
Yes, you have the majority of African Americans, but that is withering and now one-third are conservative as they see what men like Herman Cain and Clarence Thomas have done in spite of the Democrat party. And yes, I say "Democrat" and not "Democratic" as you are not democratic in any way. Your "Superdelegates" and tolerance for people like Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton tell the story.
You too are a fraud, Adam Schiff. Go hit the fan.
