The science of carbon dioxide
in the atmosphere, its' politics and economics, is the greatest story never
told. The science is simple. The economics are straight-forward and the
potential is enormous. A brave
journalist will win a Pulitzer Prize, and awards for breaking this story in a
way everyone can understand. It is a
challenge as the science has been misrepresented for money and power. And, we have a generation that has not been well
taught.
The idea CO2 is a threat
has created a full employment program for Ph.D. scientists who would otherwise not
have jobs and it has been a gold mine for universities granting degrees as if
there were jobs for science Ph.D.s. There would be good jobs for them if we had put
the money in oceanography. The seas have
been ignored for the vacuum of outer space because of Buck Rogers comic books
and movie serials, Star Trek and Star Wars,
The CO2 issue has
wasted over $1 trillion in false research, bad technology, taxes, new bureaus, bad
regulations, goofy grants, tossing good textbooks for 30 years with new
editions omitting much that should be taught. Now at Stanford and UC Berkeley
every physical science class begins with a five to 15 minute presentation on
environmentalism; thereby cutting instruction ten to 30%.
The omissions include: A real model of the atmosphere, the real role
of CO2,
the Le Chatelier Principle for gases, gas infrared energy absorption, Graham's
Law, Milankovich Cycles, CO2 chemistry of seawater, CO2 in agriculture
and teaching false science like "greenhouse gases," "radiative
forcing," "feedback loops" and "man-made CO2 differs from
natural CO2?"
We think of scientists as
honest, but there is no better example of large scale fraud for money and
power, save war politics, than in provably fraudulent atmospheric science. Lives have been changed, most badly while many
real problems we have remain, but it is not too late.
Medicine and law have handled
well the fact there are many more people wanting to be doctors and lawyers than
either profession can absorb as competition drives prices and incomes down for the
professions. The forces of a free market
are lost on these two professions. They
"keep the club small." There is no such regulation for science
doctorates. Schools crank them out by the thousands. There are thousands of Ph.D.s in the sciences
working at menial jobs today.
We graduate 30,000 new Ph.D.s
in the sciences every year and only one-fourth of them will find teaching posts
which is the job most want as they are people who love school. A few will be hired by industry and a small
number will be able to fund their own research projects, publish and perhaps get
a position with a corporation, university or government for the long term.
Government has become the nation's
largest employer of Ph.D. scientists and engineers. In 2014 the Federal government employed
11,800 Ph.D. atmospheric and space scientists at $90,000 per year each for a
total cost of $1.06 billion to create
two things: Myths of CO2 and outer
space; accusing an innocent molecule of threatening mankind and planning "To
go where no man has gone before," and we add, "because it was stupid." Then, they spend $5.6 billion per year on
grants for projects that support and promote these concepts. This could employ another 62,222 scientists,
but the most grants go to those employed
by colleges and universities so both become very wealthy promoting false
science for politicians.
Where colleges apply for grants
they use to pay research Ph.D.s millions of Dollars for prize-winning faculty
they do not increase instruction quality by reducing class size so professors may
spend more time with students. They spend more time looking for grants and
writing proposals. They rarely teach or even see students. Higher education is now a grant seeking enterprise.

University Professors teach
nine hours per week as they are to spend most of their time on research. Many only search for and write grant
applications. Usually the work takes
less time than called for in the application.
Most research projects are funded to do a certain set of tasks, then
apply for more funding as the steps are completed. Reporting successes has been an area fraught
with fraud.
Science has a design flaw arising
from teaching: It is taught mythically which is ironic as science is at odds
with philosophies based on fables. No
physical scientist believes an atom is a miniature solar system with a sun-like
nucleus surrounded by planet-like electrons, but that is a concept we can teach
where quantum mechanics we cannot. And
yet, Quantum Mechanics itself is mythical as we apply mathematical equations to
explain physical facts. Science and math
are two different things. It is the
nature of science to invent myths for money.
"Greenhouse gas" is a case in point. While it is a useful concept it is one that
is totally false and deceptively so.
Nonetheless, "Greenhouse
gas," is in the language. There are no "greenhouse gases." A greenhouse is a glass structure trapping
infrared, "IR," energy physically.
When a beam of light hits a glass pane at an angle less than 45 degrees,
it is reflected totally. If the angle is
greater than 45 degrees part of the beam enters and part is reflected. At 45 degrees 70.7% of the light passes
through the glass into the enclosure and 39.3% of the light is reflected. As the sun angle rises a greater percentage
of the light passes through the glass. At 50 degrees 76.6% of light enters and
23.4% is reflected. This increases up to
90 degrees where 100% of the light enters the enclosure. None is reflected. Overall only 42.7% of all the energy striking
a greenhouse is captured.
The same is true for water or
any clear liquid. To affect light this
way, molecules must be in contact as in a solid or liquid. Gases have large spaces between molecules unlike
liquids, where liquid molecules are in contact, but moving solid molecules are
in contact and not moving. Molecules must
be in contact to form reflective surfaces as do metals reflecting light as
mirrors.
If we grind metal to very
small particles containing a few thousand atoms they will be appear black and
absorb light energy totally and not reflect any.
"Man-caused global
warmers" say there is a layer of CO2 at the top of the lowest part of the atmosphere, the
"Troposphere." It is from
60,000 to 100,000 feet deep, 11 to 19 miles and contains most of our atmosphere.
Due to gravity, molecules
must have velocities greater than 25,000 miles per hour to escape to space. Every year 200 kilograms of our 5.6 x 10^15th
tons of gas in the atmosphere leave, but most are hydrogen and helium we do not
need. Where 1,000 is 10^3rd, a million
is 10^6th, a billion is 10^9th and a trillion 10^12th, 5.6 x 10^15th tons is
huge!
"Warmers" say a
layer on the troposphere trapping "heat waves," infrared, or IR, sends
them back to Earth to heat the atmosphere with energy captured by soil and
rocks during the day, giving it up at night.
Warmers claim increasing CO2 will heat the
atmosphere so much that by the year 2100 the heat will have turned America into a desert like the Sahara . We say that is not possible because:
There is no record of
temperatures rising at night. 71% of
Earth is covered by sea water, absorbing infrared energy very well, not re-emitting
it as water is an extremely good catcher and keeper of IR energy, seven times
better at absorbing IR energy than CO2, molecule for molecule. Water is 800 times as dense as air and 100%
water where air is only four one-hundredths of 1% CO2.
Our two poles are surrounded
by white snow in every direction for 1622 miles that totally reflect any IR
heat waves hitting the snow at less than 45 degrees, which is all of it given
the 23.5 degree tilt where the sun is seen bouncing back into space and heating
nothing. Meanwhile, the other pole
is dark!
The two total 16.5 million square miles and bring the total area not
participating in this mythical "feedback loop" to 79.2% of Earth's
surface. How less than 21% of the surface area will drive the atmosphere with
second hand energy is a question made valid by the fact that no overnight warming
effect has ever been observed. The
"reflective CO2 layer" is not confirmed.
The mythical CO2 layer is one
with very little CO2 in it as air at the top of the troposphere is at
three pounds per square inch; 21% of that at the surface so the CO2 is reduced
proportionally. It is only 0.04% at the
surface so it would be equal to 0.008% at the top of the troposphere and
certainly not able to snag every errant infrared energy wave, or
"quanta," leaving Earth. It is ridiculous.
If only 21% of Earth's
surface participates in capturing infrared, IR, energy, broadcast to outer
space, and be batted back to the lower atmosphere by molecules that are only
one of every 12,500 in the rarefied air of the top of the troposphere then why
are we to believe this sentences us to a Death Valley destiny when we see no
effect today. Examine any on-line
weather system's record for overnight temperatures! They all decline at night!

Water vapor does 99.8% of all
atmospheric heating. That astounding fact
was well documented in a single chart displayed both by the NASA website
"Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" and the United States
Meteorological Society where it could be seen that water vapor was seven times
the absorber of IR energy from sunlight as CO2. Water vapor has between one and four percent
of the lower atmosphere. CO2 has four
one-hundredths of one percent! Where
water may have one of every 25 molecules in air, or at worst one of 100, CO2 has one of
2500! Water vapor absorbs IR energy in
the shorter wave, higher energy parts of the IR spectrum where CO2 absorbs entirely
in the low energy side of the IR spectrum.
That chart is no longer on
display at either location as NASA has taken down "Standing on the
Shoulders of Giants." The NASA site
also featured a biography of John Tyndall who did the first work with
atmospheric gases and over the 15 years it was up it changed from saying he did
nothing with CO2 to his endorsing it as a "greenhouse gas,"
a term invented 200 years after he died.
We had never seen anything by John Tyndall using that term before this
modification. Now it is all gone.
It is the nature of
governments to try to be more important to and needed by their people. Guarding the realm with a military force is the
standard way because it also gives government a force for controlling the
people and is the reason our Constitution has the Second Amendment and banned
standing armies. The Founding Fathers
did not want the possibility of a military take-over of America US
We were the only nuclear power from 1945 to 1949 and
had an opportunity to end war forever by announcing we would nuke any nation that
invaded another; "no sword rattling," no threats, just
"boom," but President Truman acquiesced to Eleanor Roosevelt who pled
that he declare nuclear weapons too horrible to use. She had been convinced by friends Alger Hiss
and Harry Dexter White that this was a far more humane policy than playing
planet policeman. What Eleanor did not
know was that Hiss and White were under the instructions of Josef Stalin! When General MacArthur wanted to drop a

Tricks for power are not wasted by the elected
ruling class: They found more power in space from generations of "Buck
Rogers" comic book and movie serial fans who could believe it made sense
to explore a vacuum where there is nothing but radiation, danger and death. When President Kennedy said, "We're
going to the moon not because is it easy, but because it is hard!" Not one person challenged him, asked him why
or say it was stupid and the smart fellers were watching. When Jim Hansen told the nation a trace gas
threatened the planet no one asked him to prove it or even challenge him. Now 11,800 Ph.D.s are working on mythical
concepts to "save the planet."
Man-caused global warming, climate change is the greatest science fraud
in history.
The money, time and manpower we have wasted on
obviously stupid ideas would have given us abundance and peace instead of
fighting World War III in our streets, subways, nightclubs, churches and
synogogues with an enemy that through
700 years of inbreeding produced generations of idiots who believe if they kill
infidels for Allah they will get 70 palaces with 70 virgins. Any man who has ever dealt with a virgin will
tell you "One is enough!"
Science does not stand alone. It is part of the economy and political
system. Science has a stained history

It is easy to prove CO2 is not causing
global warming if you know how to do an experiment and understand basic
chemistry. In an experiment we need two
things: Control and Experimental samples.
In this case we do nothing to the Control but read its' temperature as
it is our reference system.
We can set up an experiment
with two clear, not colored, 2.5 liter plastic soda bottles. They come in 2, 2.5 and 3 liter sizes so you
have to be sure to have the right size as quantities are critical. We also need: two
laboratory "stick" thermometers, 650 ml of pure water, 1/8th tsp. of baking soda, a medicine dropper and
one tablespoon of Distilled White Vinegar.
Lab thermometers
are $2.39 each on Ebay, two sell for $7 including postage or you can ask for
the cooperation of your local chemistry teacher, which we recommend as he, or
she, will then show it to their students.
Baking soda and
White Distilled Vinegar are home pantry items. Medicine droppers are found in most homes or
$1.00 each in a drug store. Medicine
droppers produce 20 drops per milliliter per the physics of water and lab industry
standards for use by pharmacists and physicians to accurately dispense
medicine.
Thermometer
accuracy is confirmed by putting them into a tall glass filled with ice and
water. They should say zero degrees
Celsius and they usually will. Return any not showing zero after two minutes in
a glass filled with ice and water for ten minutes. It would be surprising for you to have to do
that.
Let them warm to
see they agree. 99.9% of them will. Plastic bottle caps are drilled for the
thermometers by a Phillips screwdriver with a standard 1/4 inch shaft. Heat the tip an inch over a candle flame for a
few seconds. The handle insulates it so
you can hold it. Push the hot tip straight through the plastic cap in the
center leaving a hole just large enough for a thermometer. Thermometers are pushed into caps three
inches while the plastic is soft. On
cooling they freeze in place, but can be removed by careful twisting, with a
thumb and forefinger very near the cap applying gentle twisting force and
patience.
The volume of "2.5 liter" soda bottles is actually
2,725 ml. Use bottled or well water to
avoid municipal water chlorine and fluorine. Put 325 ml, into each bottle for a
net air volume of 2400 ml over water. 2,400
milliliters is 1/10th molar volume, at room temperature, which is a chemistry
term we explain in the exposition at http://ScienceFraud.blogspot.com (Repeat)
Read "CO2 Is Innocent." Click
on it and you will see all the chemistry terms and units carefully explained
and the demo is very simple.
CO2 is four-hundredths of one percent of the atmosphere. Thus, our 2400 milliliters of air has one
milliliter of carbon dioxide in it naturally and for every drop of vinegar we
add to that bottle we will get another milliliter of CO2 if we have dissolved a quarter teaspoon of baking soda in the
water. This is all described in
chemistry terms in "CO2 Is Innocent" at Science Frauds, dot,
blogspot, dot com and it will show what happens to the temperature if we go
from today's 400 parts per million all the way up to, and over 10,000 parts per
million, as we recommend.
Do the test on a
clear, sunny day as clouds and haze reduce the infrared energy in sunlight a
lot. On an overcast day there will be
virtually none.
Dr. Joe Romm, a
leading "climate change alarmist" says that if we continue to
increase CO2 in the atmosphere, at current rates, America
will become another Sahara Desert by the year 2100 as we will have hit 1000
parts per million of CO2. Every
drop of vinegar adds 417 ppm so adding two will take us to 1234 ppm and
according to Dr. Romm the temperature in the test bottle should go over 40
Celsius degrees, 104 Fahrenheit. But, as
you will see nothing happens. Additional
CO2 has no effect!
The added CO2 is driving water vapor out of the air and into the water by the
Le Chatelier Principle for gases and this is a concept no longer taught in
basic physics. It is just one of the
omissions in our new, politically corrected science, but you can read all about

If we add 23 more
drops of vinegar to go over 10,000 parts
per million which is where the American Meteorological Society used to say CO2 becomes a significant part of the atmosphere you will see the
temperature declines per the Le Chatelier principle.
Simple
experiments like this do not require millions of Dollars or years of time, but
they do prove conclusively, and dramatically, the true nature of carbon
dioxide, CO2, in the environment. Increasing CO2 reduces
the air temperature. It is just that
simple.
The degree of
corruption seen in "climate change" is amazing, but it tells us more
of the nature of our fellow man than science. Anything can be, and has been, corrupted. We have seen corruption in religion for
centuries, nothing is free of it. It is a battle that never ends. That we find it necessary to have police
officers at little league and high school athletic contests tells us more than
we want to know about the nature of our fellow man.

What is the future of
"man-caused global warming" or "climate change?" The realization of this fraud will surely
ruin many Ph.D.s. We have an indicator
the end is coming when Albert Gore, Junior, one of the "fathers of the
fraud" insists world governments give him $1 trillion to fight
"Climate Change" with no successes, proofs or documented plan for how
he would spend the money.
It is well known species
about to go extinct often have a "giantism" phase as the end
nears. People do this by offering grand
schemes as their ship sinks. Mr. Gore's grandiose scheme is the conceptual equivalent
of the final phase as seen in nature, but what is the reality of CO2 in the
biosphere?
Plant physiologists say there
is a severe shortage of carbon dioxide in the biosphere. When the seas formed four billion years ago the
atmosphere had 12%, CO2, 12,000 ppm. Earth
was not a hothouse like Venus. Earth did
not have life for 1.5 billion years in spite of the infinite number of molecular
experiments happening in the seas.
Every day sunlight hit young
Earth's atmosphere, seas and land with energy for chemical and physical
change. It was all in silence not
because there were no sounds. There were
no ears to hear them. We would come
along, much, much later.
Finally, a protein molecule
formed and another, and more. Eventually
the first cell was formed to protect the molecules. The cell grew and grew until it strangled
itself as the relative surface area that could absorb molecules from the
outside dropped rapidly as the cell grew.
A cube one centimeter on a
side has a volume of one cubic centimeter and a surface area of six square
centimeters while a cube ten centimeters on a side has a surface area of 600
square centimeters, but a volume of 1,000 cubic centimeters, an area one tenth
per unit volume as the small cube! This
strangled larger cubes and they died.
Meanwhile some of the small cubes divided so no cube ever got so
big. They survived and not only was life
born, but evolution as well because small cells are like bricks they can
make things! Tubes, bladders, organs! The die for man was cast!
Small cells stuck together to
form virus and bacteria including some that made their own food from sunlight
forming sugars and finally animals who ate them! There is no gratitude in nature. We may eat as well as be eaten. We eat green
plants now, but we cultivate them, modify them and American agriculture feeds much of the world, but before it all
happened the seas were like pea soup with billions of tons of algae living and dying,
falling to the sea floor to form petroleum.
Every oil field today was once a seabed.
Is every seabed an oil field? We
think so.
In 1978 John Woodward published
a survey of Earth's carbon in Scientific American concluding seven trillion
tons were missing from the amounts he estimated from historic data. If it exists as petroleum it is enough to
power mankind for 1,640,000 years, which is longer than we will last as a
species. The most likely place for all this
carbon is in the seabeds as we have ignored the seas to send men where no man
has gone before to bring to life our fantasies of the universe. Outer space is a death trap with no air,
lethal radiation, nothing that we do not have more of and cheaper on Earth, but
a gullible public eager to pay for it.
"Space" has been a bigger scam than man-caused global warming,
but warmers are catching up.
Adding CO2 to the
atmosphere will solve our greatest problem: water. 42% of every plant's dry mass is carbon from CO2 captured from
air by water in plant stomata. Stomata
are tiny openings on the undersides of leaves to chamber walls wet with water
the plant has drawn from the soil. CO2 dissolves in
that water then moves to cells where it becomes simple sugars then complex
sugars, starch and cellulose for making more plant parts. For every gram of carbon in this process the
plant uses more than 1,000 grams of water, but if there were more CO2 in the air
that figure would fall greatly. Increasing
CO2,
which we have shown does no harm to anything reduces the amount of water plants
need to grow and water is the real crisis for Earth.
We have experimented with
soda water, loaded with carbon dioxide, to see plants double in size over
control plants on plain water. The amounts needed have been determined for some
plants as now many of our tomatoes and fine vegetables are grown in greenhouses
where the CO2 is increased by burning propane to get up to 1500
parts per million CO2 with no effect on workers. It would have to be ten times that before it
would have any effect on them and even that would not be suffocating or
dangerous as it is what we have in our lungs every time we exhale.
The world would be a far
greener, more lush place for all plants and animals if man were accept his
natural destiny to burn carbon and return it to nature where it was long
ago. We doubt that man could ever
produce over 1,000 parts per million as the seas of Earth absorb much of our CO2 and turn it
into limestone or the calcium carbonate sea life use to form bones and
shells. There is a natural cycle for
carbon and man is part of it. It is
clearly our destiny to burn carbon and put itack in the air where other living
things can use it.

"The Greatest Story
Never Told" is not unique; there have been many. Most have come and gone without notice, all
lie fallow waiting to come to life. We will have another President who will
send our young men to war to die for "defense industry"
profiteers. World War II taught
industrialists how to make money in quantities they had never dreamed of and it
stuck.
President George W. Bush decided
to settle a personal issue with a man who vowed to kill his father, so he found
reasons to go to war, put the nation in great debt and do great harm for
generations. No man goes to war and
returns without great damage if it is only time lost. Every man and woman gets about 50 adult years
preceded by growing up, followed by decline.
We do not need Presidents sending us off to war. For
the entire time Dick Cheney was Vice President he was on the Halliburton
payroll and all their contracts were with government. That was a crime.
Laws are too complicated to
serve the people. They only serve the
elected ruling class and lawyers who charge hundreds of times what they should
for work we should not have to do. We
should not need lawyers. We should only
need laws we can read. Legislative bodies should only be allowed to write new
laws in even numbered years and rescind bad laws in odd numbered years. Members should be allowed to serve one
term. People should be allowed to work
for government ten years and not all their lives. We have too many government employees who do
nothing.
When a President says,
"We choose to go to the moon not because it is easy, but because it is
hard," everyone should laugh and the people in the first row should have
something heavy and wet to throw at them.
When a Director of NASA talks of going to Mars, where there is no air or
water and nothing that we do not have here on Earth, he should be fired and
prohibited from ever working for government again. When a physical scientist says, "Man-made
carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere 1,000 years," or other nonsense in
violation of well-known facts and principles, he should lose his degree, be
given a large shopping cart for his worldly goods and put on the street.
The code of academic comity,
which says, "Let me get away with my fraud and I will support yours,"
should be a felony. When Jim Hansen made
his statement about man-made carbon dioxide to an audience of scientists at
UCSB no one uttered a word. All knew of
the work of Frederick Wohler (Valor) who in 1832 proved all molecules of a
substance, no matter the source or synthesis, are identical. The code of academic comity has cost America Soviet Union
put aside basic principles in agriculture for those of Communism and they have
had one crop failure after another. It
has been the cause of most of their aggression.
They cannot feed their people. Our farmers could were they there an
operating under our rules instead of those of Lysenko.
"The Greatest Story
Never Told" is a the key to our secure future as it will turn what has
already been a trillion Dollar waste and disaster into a new attitude for
science that will solve our most serious problem, the limit of usable
water. We are wasting much of it and we
really need more around the world.
The atmosphere is painfully
short of carbon dioxide and the plants show it by using enormous amounts of
water to get it. In the middle western
plains of America Corn Belt supplying the difference,
but it is showing signs of depletion. If
it should ever go dry we will have crop failures, but if we put more CO2 in the air we
could reduce the water used by plants to that which falls from the sky with a
little help from genetic engineers.
Environmentalists accuse
genetic engineers of crimes against nature, but they are only doing what nature
does every day in random ways. Genetic
engineers do that work with the direction and purpose that science brings to us
and the real sin is not using it. The
Scientific Method is simple and only has five steps: (1)
Observe a phenomenon, (2) Collect data, (3) Form an hypothesis, (4) Test the idea and document it, (5) Publish and discuss with peers.
Nations violate the
scientific method with secrecy and deception for the acquisition of power and
ill-gotten wealth. About the time of the
birth of Christ the people of the Arabian Peninsula were 1,000 years ahead of
the people of Europe in every area of science, math, medicine and cartography,
they had mapped the world sailed up the Saint Lawrence River all the way to Duluth Minnesota Duluth
