That's Beyond Offensive!

Add your name: stand with Democrats to protect the Affordable Care Act. ADD YOUR NAME Adrian -- This morning, in his defense of the GOP's Obamacare "replacement" plan, Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz said that Americans would need to choose between "getting that new iPhone that they just love" and health insurance. That's beyond offensive. Before the Affordable Care Act became law, too many Americans had to make the difficult decisions to put off checkups or skip refilling a prescription. They weren't saving up for a fancy new phone -- they were choosing between putting food on the table or paying their medical bills. The GOP's plan will take us back to that reality. Millions of Americans will lose their health coverage (even insurance they get from their employer) under this plan, and the cost of health care will skyrocket for millions more. They're counting on us to stand up to out-of-touch Republicans like Jason Chaffetz. If you're ready to fight back, add your name: ADD YOUR NAME Thanks, The Democrats -------------------------------------- Dear Democrats: For folks that love being offended so much you must be getting your "enjoys" on this one and anticipating more to come.  What I want to know is what comes after offensive.  Wait!  Don't tell me.  It's orgasm!  How did I know that?  I told you I am a smart feller!  I used to be a Democrat... I must tell you that I am not too happy with Republicans trying to come up with "ObamaCare Lite."  This is like that famous knock-off beer, "Love in a Canoe."  I knew the man that inspired that joke in northern Wisconsin, Karl Linenkugal, Grandson of a famous old German brewmeister of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. When Karl inherited the brewery he lightened the recipe to more modern tastes and the "old garde'" went nuts.  I did not get to taste real beer until I got to Germany. The only solution is to turn this over to the free market, come down hard on corrupt doctors, hospitals criminally overcharging patients which will reduce the paperwork so they don't have maintain large offices, outrageous court settlements, legal staffs and all the rest over-regulation brings.   Every doctor fails everybody as we all die.  They make mistakes and are the second leading cause of death, but that is another matter.  The human body is a self-healing mechanism and to think we will ever know enough to interfere with some of those processes is arrogance indeed. The only "affordable" part of ObamaCare is the expanded MedicAid enrollment as it is free and by design to be paid for by those paying for the coverage.  This is the part liberals never get: Taking from one group and giving to another never works.  The people from whom you take get angry for having to pay more than before and on finding they are paying for freeloaders get really upset.  In the days of major media not reporting these facts socialists could get away with it, but the Internet and little publications like this one are read by millions who vote!  Suck it up socialists.    Adrian Vance
