Rep. John Lewis, Democrat
Adrian, I’ve had enough.
President Trump and his Republicans have made it clear they do not want what’s best for our country.
But when I get frustrated, I remember we have a chance to stop them:
The special election in my home state of Georgia.
Electing a Democrat would be a devastating loss for Republicans.
That’s why it’s so important that we fully fund our Democratic ground game before Thursday.
Will you join us on the front lines before the deadline? Pitch in $1 to defeat Republicans in Georgia and around the country:

Representative Lewis:
Sir, it seems the crate panel that hit your head on the bridge in Selma, AL in 1960 was a lot heavier or swung harder than was reported as you, sir, are not making a lot of sense. I did respect your Civil Rights role in history for a long time but now, and on examination, you really were a lesser player unless getting hit in the head accomplishes something.
You say Mr. Trump is not a legitimate President; that he is not your President and that you will do everything you can to see that he is not successful. Do you realize the failure of a President, as in the case of Mr. Obama, means a failure of the nation? Please don't tell me about his less than 5% unemployment figures when my math says 52%! All you have to do is put the employed people over those "no longer in the workforce" and not just those getting unemployment benefits, and you've got it, 52%!
That is twice the Great Depression and the only reason we do not have lines of gaunt men in the streets, as in the 1930's, is that Mr. Obama ran America on a Congress credit card, counting borrowed money as revenue! He left the next three generations a debt that can only be paid with double the taxes we paid in our lifetimes unless men like Donald J. Trump figure out a way we can have 10% annual growth.
I know how that can be done, but you will not listen to the likes of me, I am "white," or almost. My grandmother was half Aztec Indian, but her naturalization papers identify her as "...an Indian woman." The point is, sir, if you wail about race, as you now do, you are the racist!
And the greater point is that you and your associates are working to sentence three generations to the kind of slavery great debt creates and is more than revenge; it is original sin.
