A Note From the DCCC

I’m panicking. We’ve never been so far behind on our goal. And our Mid-Year Deadline hits in 72 hours. Even after President Obama emailed you, no one is stepping up. If we get outraised yet again, it means our chance to win a House that protects President Obama’s agenda is totally gone. I’m sorry to beg and plead, but grassroots donors are our ONLY HOPE. We need 38,416 more folks to step up in the next 72 hours (I’ll be honest, that’s a lot). Is there ANY WAY you can be one of them? - Julia,  DCCC Digital Director ------------------------------------------- Dear Julia: Thank you for your regular, monthly notices of how poorly the DCCC politburo is doing as it is my highlight at the end of very month.  This time you seem to be up by 200% or maybe 300% from last month so it looks like you too are getting Trumped. I wish I could convince you that you are on the wrong side of the street as my work shows me that you will be paying two to three times the taxes I have paid grudgingly much of my life as in my better years of success in film and publishing I was paying about 50% when all my federal, state and local taxes were summed.  What did I get for it? How about potholes, mismanaged emergencies, about a dozen. I missed two wars, Korea and Vietnam, but was told I would be called on to serve my country another way given my college deferments.  I came away from those encounters feeling like I was a slave to corruption as they were busy building 20,000 nuclear warheads they would never use to keep the peace, but because there is too much profit and corruption in the "defense" business.  I enclose the word because the real enemy is within and the corrupt Supreme Court just authorized it today.  Now the elected ruling class will try to put their games in "wind gear."  The only hope is for a President Trump to flush this toilet.
