The interview of Jeb Bush by Megyn Kelly was a notable event and it changed many opinions, including mine. Jeb seemed a much more together, quick and capable man than we had thought. The Iraq question went by me as it apparently did Jeb. It is ridiculous to transcend time in a serious discussion as we can't do that.
The only response to, "If you knew then what you know now..." question is, "I would not be here answering stupid questions. How much do they pay you for this? Were you always an idiot or did you catch it? Are you in therapy? Was your sister an only child? Did your mother have a bowel movement when you were born and they threw away the wrong lump?" and as many more insulting rejoinders you can craft. Anyone asking such a question richly deserves utter ridicule.

There was a "body language" element that leapt from the screen to me as one who has published over 30,000 photographs in a dozen national and international magazines and 325 educational filmstrips and films.
In doing that amount of photo work you learn to anticipate the moment you want by reading the body language of the subjects to predict their actions. Jeb displayed something I have never seen in such an interview. His legs were not crossed. He was open and remained that way. This speaks of comfort and power for a man.
Sitting men cross legs defensively where women display their legs and fashionable shoes. Jeb's posture says he was confident and the speaking truth.
Where I have had an issue with Jeb's endorsement of "Common Core," it is a concept bastardized by publishers milking a cash cow. They charge $35 for re-tests so they make material ridiculous and confusing to generate millions, if not billions of re-test Dollars. The idea is good, but execution corrupt.
When I was in the school market audiovisual business we knew we were not delivering what had been promised, but were frantically trying to make a better products and not milk or kill the concept. My success was that of creating a style that worked and sold very well. I was also the producer most violated by the Soviet Union as they bought one of everything I released and made 30,000 copies of it for all their secondary schools. I got so much mail from Russia I was on an FBI list and called on several times by two guys with hats. Such are the hazards of success.
Common Core is a concept gone wrong, but I think Jeb Bush is a man who can deal with it. It would be nice to have some basic national educational standards. Union teachers no longer teach American history; they are ashamed of it.
Since this interview Jeb spoke at a foreign relations forum and did not do well. He was unable to call Megyn''s Iraq invasion question what it was, "Ridicuous, out-of-bounds and stupid." Jeb has high born instincts, but he is on the streets of politics. While it was shocking to see Marco Rubio run over him like an 18 wheeler, Marco is made of tougher stuff having taken lumps. Marco has the clearest mind we have seen in a very long time. He handled life-long Democrat Chris Wallace with the skill of a master torero. I could hear trumpets calling for the sword in that interview. But, we we remain very disappointed by both participants in the Jeb Bush, Megyn Kelly interview.
