Olivia Newton John cannot save this picture: WIDE SHOT: Riots in the streets as the cradle of democracy brings to life the axiom it is two wolves and a lamb voting on what’s for dinner. This is a place where every socialist dream has come true.
CUT TO: New York City equities markets react with shock and awe as a society with ten times our tenure unravels running with the ideas of John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, Saul Alinksy and Barack Obama. This is our future if we dare to continue on our way to socialism with “Yes we can!”
Yes we can take from the rich and “Spread the wealth?” Yes we can have free health care by raising taxes on those making over $250,000. “Yes we can?” No we can’t and Greece proved it to Europe with 30% of the population working for government. Government never makes; Government only takes. Spain is next with unemployment at 20%, socialism is in full bloom with debts enough to consume all the cash in the EU treasuries.
From our starving Pilgrims through starving Soviets and now Europe, socialism failed every time.
California is the nearest thing we have to a socialist state. City Manager, Bruce Malkenhorst of Vernon, California retired with a pension of $509,664 annually. Population of Vernon? 96. Mr. Malkenhorst is not alone. 9111 other such California officials are getting six figure pensions. Such is the institutionalized corruption of “The Golden State.” So much for Arnold.
Stanford University’s economists say California’s unfunded pension liabilities are $500 billion! Half a trillion Dollars and pension laws say they cannot be changed. The only way for 58 counties and hundreds of municipalities is bankruptcy which will put all these fat cat public employee union folk on the welfare rolls. State officials have “No comment.”
We are Greece, not the movie.
