Adam Schiff Is Back!

Vance,

Today, for the first time in American history, the Senate is beginning its second impeachment trial of a single president: Donald J. Trump.

I want to take a moment to explain how we got here, why the attack on the Capitol struck at the heart of our democracy, and why it’s so important that he is held accountable by the Senate.

After Donald Trump lost the election, he could have done what you do after losing — concede. Instead, he spent months spreading the “Big Lie” that the election had been stolen from him, and telling his supporters they needed them to fight for him. So when he told them to come to Washington, DC on January 6th promising it would be “wild,” tens of thousands did what he said.

And when he spoke to them on the National Mall, whipping them up even further by saying they had to fight like hell or they wouldn’t have a country anymore, and that they should march to the Capitol and that he would join them, they got the message loud and clear.

When peace was finally restored, at least five people had been killed, including a Capitol Police officer. The truth is that if not for the actions of brave police officers, that day would have been even worse.

Republicans know how bad it was too. They were in the Capitol that day after crowds broke doors and windows, armed with clubs and worse. And they know how corrosive Trump’s months-long campaign to overturn the election was, and how much his lies and incitement are to blame for all that happened on that day.

Yet even with Donald Trump out of office, there are many who are more committed to their loyalty to Donald Trump than anything else. So they’re saying we should move on, or even claiming the impeachment trial itself is unconstitutional.

We can’t move on and here’s why: Trump is out of the White House now, but if the Senate fails to convict and disqualify him this time around, nothing can stop him from running for office again in the near future.

If Trump runs for president again, we have to expect that he will try to cheat, lie, and incite again. And put this country through hell — again. No one should want to see that.

But in order to convict and disqualify Trump, we not only need every Democratic Senator to vote this way — we need 17 Republicans to step up and join them on the right side of history.

For the sake of our democracy, our rule of law, and the future of our country, we need Senators to finally hold Trump accountable. That’s how we heal as a nation and ensure that something like January 6th never happens in the United States again.

Because ultimately, unity requires accountability.

If you agree and want to see members on both sides of the aisle come together to ensure no one, not even the President of the United States, can get away with inciting a violent mob on the Capitol and desecrating our democratic elections, please add your name alongside mine to urge the Senate to disqualify Trump from ever running for office again.

The eyes of the country, and indeed the world, are watching.

This is the Senate’s last chance to hold this dangerous, lawless, and reckless former president accountable, and prevent him from doing further damage to our country.

— Adam

************************

California Representative Adam Schiff is back looking for headlines after no one paid any attention to him, which he could be glad for as during that time he had a dustup with the Glendale Public Safety Department, aka Police, when a young black man complained he had a relationship with Adam that had turned to violence and Adam was beating him.  Why is this easy to believe?

For the entirety of the Trump Presidency Adam Schiff raved wildly that he had evidence President Trump was a pawn of Vladimir Putin, President of Russia and doing his bidding.  As well Schiff and Swallwell continually claimed they had "impeachable evidence!" when they had nothing.  How damn stupid can you get?  I cannot see how anyone votes for either of these twits.

  1. I'm sure Nancy and Chuckie and Schiff-ty are cooking up another scheme to impeach President Trump, or at least censure him to stop him from running for President again. Their hatred for Trump will live long and be a never-ending roadblock to making our country great again.

  2. They realize they have not "killed the king" and are trying to find a way they can drive a stake through his heart and cover him with Wolfbane before the dirt goes on. This whole insanity could be fun if we were watching it in a cheap TV movie, but this is real! This is America today? Stay tuned.... You have no choice...

  3. Got a feeling some things are going to shake out this spring. May be some big surprises. Would be interesting to see where the trials in the states about election fraud go.
