A Note From Van Jones

Dream Corps

Adrian,
This coming year will be absolutely vital in order to pave the way towards progress — to close prison doors and open doors of opportunity. Tonight is a critical deadline that will determine Dream Corps’ programming budget for the starting months (please contribute here).

We’ll need to hold our newly-elected representatives accountable and push for bold reform -- creating green jobs, stopping pollution, empowering underserved people to get good jobs in tech, massively reducing incarceration, and winning dignity for incarcerated women.

If we keep working together, we can build on our momentum. We can move the needle across issues, create new synergies, and change what’s politically possible in this country.

Right now, we’re just short of hitting our year-end fundraising goal. Can you contribute to the Dream Corps to help us meet our goal?

Today
is the last day of the year to make a tax-deductible contribution, and your support really matters. With love and faith,

Dear Van:

Thanks for note and let me say:  You are the sharpest Democrat in the block and I would like to have lunch with you, not to change you to conservatism or to be a Republican, but to work with you for a better America as you have a direct way into our "black" population like no "white" person could ever have.  We have to do something as race relations are not good, not terrible, but could be so much better.  For example: I believe  many of our serious problems come from the dinner table where young people are taught to hate on both sides and when parents bad mouth the other race the people act on it and get into serious trouble. Never should either sides parents express hate for others even it their accusations are true as young people will act on them to their own destruction.  I am sure you will have a lot to say about this idea.

Adrian Vance
