A balding, white haired, gentleman walked into a jewelry store on a Friday evening with a beautiful, much younger lady at his side. He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $15,000 ring.
The man said, "No, I'd like to see something more special. Price is immaterial."
At that statement, the jeweler went to the back room and brought out another ring in a velvet case. "Here's a very stunning ring at only $140,000" the jeweler said. "It’s the famous Azure Blue which belonged to a Maharajah."
The lady's eyes sparkled and it appeared her whole body trembled with excitement. Seeing this, the old man said, "We'll take it."
The jeweler asked how payment would be made and the man stated, "By check. I know you’ll need to verify my account with the bank, so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday morning; We'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon."
Monday morning, the jeweler angrily phoned the old man and said "Sir...There's no money in that account!"
"I know," replied the old man...'But let me tell you about my weekend."
The moral of the story is that wit prevails over beauty every time, but in this allegory, which is particularly appropriate to this time we see something particularly appropriate to our time.
We have in White House a man with a life-long reputation of loose morals, but where pretty women will on occasion lose judgment in the presence of a very wealthy or famous man the accepted mores' are cast away by such young ladies so who is to blame? Both are, but much of America does not care about it with respect to Mr. Trump for five reasons: (1) It does not affect them, (2) It is not ax-murder, (3) the abuse of barnyard animals or (4) choir boys and (5) they are doing much better under Mr. Trump and he is more one-of-them than anyone they have seen in this or the last century.
And so, we celebrate the Presidency of Donald J. Trump and we do not worry about Melania, she not only knows what he is and it dealing with but she has the White House and a healthy, alert, young son.
