If you think Al Franken will resign the US Senate "in a few weeks" you do not know Al Franken.
In a voice that ever sounds like the gurgles from a flushed John Crapper home appliance he tap danced his way through the issue to satisfy the growing list of Democrat US Senators saying they want him to go thus raising the lethality of female old complaints and wailings of "...how I felt," sobs and tears, to the level of removing people in elected office. This may not be fattening, but it is illegal and immoral, predicated on the claim, "Women never lie about that!"
And, their objective is to use the Billy Bush tape to remove President Donald J. Trump.

It is not yet clear if all this is a cascade of accidents like a Peewee Herman movie or a very clever plot to capitalize on the Billy Bush illegally recorded and broadcast (two felonies in California) of candidate Donald J. Trump in a stupid attempt to remove him from office.
All he was saying is that young women go nuts in the presence of a billionaire, rock star, movie star or Evangelical mega-preachers. Go to a rock concert and watch the entire first row of girls tossing their panties and room keys on the stage! Anyone that spends that much of their money on hair, makeup, clothes and shoes is asking for an occasional touching of the merchandise, even if illegal.

Mr. Trump can only be removed for crimes he commits in office and his saying young women go nuts in the presence of a billionaire or an entertainment "star" and not that he ever did anything like that to any young woman, so remove the Billy Bush tape from the evidence locker.
If Billy or NBC choose to make an issue of said tape they can be prosecuted for making it, withholding it and broadcasting it. (Three felonies in CA.) But, fear not NBC, California Governor Moonbeam Brown is letting all the felons out as the police do not have enough to do since he made the state a "sanctuary" for illegal Mexicans that are all busy becoming high school valedictorians as well as serial Democrat voters. California now has 22 counties where more people vote for Democrats than there are registered voters or even people of voting age! What a wonderful miracle for Democrats!

It is becoming increasingly clear and confirmed by the "man-caused global warming" fraud that major media is helping our government build an America where facts mean nothing and government means everything. If they believe there are "greenhouse gases" then "There are greenhouse gases, and you can keep your greenhouse gas, period!"
That a greenhouse requires a solid clear cover, usually glass, and at the top of the Troposphere there is not enough molecular mass to make one, are facts, but to the Swamp Creature Elected Ruling Class that does not matter! They are "The Establishment" and will give you everything you ever want if you vote Democrat.

Meanwhile, back in Minnesota, the catalog mailing capital of the world, the rotary presses will be cranking out thousands of letters begging Senator Franken not to resign with some threatening suicide just like those ladies in North Korea when Kim Jong Un, Sr. died. Al will show up at the US Senate with a pickup truck full of such mail and announce in his stained Crapper voice, "I can't leave! My people love me!" Pardon me while I vomit.
