We have no words. Paul Ryan just let House Republicans go home ONE DAY EARLY for vacation -- without taking ANY action to prevent gun violence. Every time our country suffers another mass shooting, Republicans’ “solution” is simply ignoring the problem and hoping it’ll go away. Their cowardly inaction is costing Americans their lives. And their failure to take action, even after Las Vegas, makes it crystal clear that these Republicans answer only to the powerful gun lobby. We can’t stop -- not even for a second -- reminding them that they answer to US. We have to keep the pressure on and FORCE them to listen. Dear DCCC:

Once again the Democratic Party is using emotion to sell a bad idea to and for the people.  You cite single events like the shooting of Representative Gabby Gifford, the Las Vegas massacre, an elementary school in Connecticut and so on, but in each case the crime was committed one one person and in every case that person was insane.  So, to deal with one insane person you want to create a new law that will impinge on the safety of 318 million people leaving them defenseless to the several thousand people who will use a gun to commit a crime, or crimes!  This is patently insane.

When these incidents began gun sales for home defense increased and such crimes decreased in response.  As well you forget it was the armed populace that repelled the British regulars in 1776 and 1812.  While historians concentrate on battles and never seem to give credit to the boys who hid in the brush and nicked the Redcoats with small caliber arms designed to kill small game the fact they only wounded soldiers reduced the invaders unit effectiveness to a fraction of what they had on landing.  No war general will ever invade a nation where the people are armed.  This is the reason the 22 caliber rifle is outlawed in the Geneva convention. Used properly it takes the victory out of any invasion.  Every boy and girl should know how to use a "22."

We believe the way to reduce these terrible mass shootings is to offer a million Dollar bounty to anyone giving information that results in arrest of anyone planning and preparing to commit such a crime as that will not only prevent a few directly by the arrest of such people, but it will prevent many more by showing such people that we are spending money to arrest and incarcerate them.
