Donald Trump, Jr. met with allies of Vladimir Putin last year to get information to use against Hillary Clinton that he was told was coming from the Russian government.

This isn't "fake news" -- it's a fact, proven by screenshots of emails that Don Jr. tweeted himself.

Every day more information comes out about the Trump campaign colluding with Russia during the 2016 election. And time after time, Donald Trump tries to act like there's nothing to see here.

But our country cannot be run on lies. It cannot be run by people who welcomed the opportunity to work with a foreign country to meddle in our elections, or even by those who stood idly by while a foreign government threatened our democracy.

Dear Mr. O'Connell:

The facts are:  Mr. Donald J. Trump, Jr. was contacted by the DC K Street operation Fusion GPS LLC with the story they had some "...dirt on Hillary."  Where Mr. Trump, Jr. was working for his father's campaign he would have been a nitwit not to hear what the alleged source, Attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya, had to say.  Just listening to someone is not "collusion."  It is a one-way transaction. What Mr. Trump, Jr. did after that would be the question, but he did nothing.

Curiously Natalia had nothing regarding Hillary, but is alleged, before eight witnesses, to have brought up the US citizens adopting Russian orphans issue which she is alleged to want to enable.  That is contrary to the desires of the Kremlin as they are declining in population and want to keep every citizen.  This aspect has not been reported by major media.  

The fact President Obama personally enabled Ms. Veselnitskaya's entry, signed by Attorney General Loretta Lynch, makes the situation even more curious as it was thought she was cooperating with the Clinton campaign.  It could well be this was a stunt to make Mr. Trump look bad, suck Donald Jr. into a trick of some kind, but that was so poorly defined the players all got off the page.  It does not make any sense any way we try to put it together, but the good news is that it is destroying MSNBC as it is now unwatchable.
