US or Them?

While the two-party system seems to be in jeopardy now the fact of the matter is the "two parties" we talk about are not the two actually causing America all the grief we suffer.  In reality the two parties we have are:  "US," the citizens of America and "DC" the citizens of Washington, DC, a duchy the Founding Fathers separately from the rest of us. It was the one idea they did not develop fully.  It is a very special place in several ways.

In the America of "US" the economy is based on what we produce, but the economy of "DC" is based on what they take. The DC takers are very good at it.  In a thorough analysis you will find the DC folks take 40% of the economy.  They claim it is only 20%, but they do not include borrowings and other quick shuffles they play extracting "fees," duties and imposts not counted as taxes as well as property confiscations; an expanding fraction of Federal revenues. Borrowings are especially egregious as they are paid by our children and with interest charges inflate them 240%.

Several financial experts now say the Federal government will confiscate all cash, bank deposits, cash in equities and commodities trading accounts.  Having been an equities trader in corn future delivery contracts on the Chicago Board of Trade, stocks on the NY Stock Exchange and an advisory service (The Stock Surfer) I know this would cripple America for six months to a year of monetary insanity, but put nothing beyond the elected evil.

The duchy of DC is run by 536 elected folk in the two houses of Congress and the White House, plus nine appointed-for-life "Supreme Court Justices" who are the last stop for matters important enough for someone to push through several levels of adjudication, all outrageously expensive.  Elected twits are paid $174,000 to $400,000 per year for their "work."  Once elected they get that for the remainder of their lives so the total compensation package is monumental plus perquisites!   Nonetheless, they spend millions of Dollars to get these jobs and that immediately reveals, "Something is not right here."

Most of the men and women in elected office are wealthy in their own right and that being the case have rich friends who donate big bucks ostensibly "for better government."  And, we have such people in Congress, but we also have many that are products of political machines created and maintained by unions, manufacturing associations and other such "special interest groups" that are in DC for their own aggrandizement.  "There lies the rub," in the words of the Bard, William Shakespeare.

From what has transpired for a long time, it would appear that we have more of the latter class, those who are there for personal gain, than those who are there for "public service," "America," or "the people!"

There are many profitable games elected people can play and most do shamelessly.  Some write books with huge cash advances, high net prices and sales that are dubious, to unions for example.  Some buy land, farms, vineyards with seeming abandon or the means to support them.  Many participate in land option deals on "inside information" regarding the path of a new freeway, railway, port or airport.  Many acquire stock positions on new drugs, weapons or public facility contracts that private citizens go to jail for on "inside information" trading laws; witness Martha Stewart.  Virtually all Representative and Senators maintain two mansions, one in DC, the other in their state or district on $174,000 per year!  No journalist asks any questions.  Why not?

The conclusion is that Washington, DC is totally corrupt and the reason there is so much resistance to Donald J. Trump because he is so wealthy he does not have to commit these crimes to maintain a splendid life style.  He came to town as "The new Sheriff" with loaded guns to straighten out a mess that is bankrupt largely from theft, graft and misappropriation of funds.  The simple fact of the matter is that if Mr. Trump loses America fails as we are beyond fiscal viability.  This machine is running on vapor.

Isn't it ironic that the man who may save America is one who enjoyed it the way we all could if it were not for the likes of the left.
That little red dot on the right of the map above is the problem.  It is just that simple.
