Adrian, At a recent hearing, I asked Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to assure the American people that special counsel Robert Mueller has the independence and ability to investigate Donald Trump and his campaign’s ties to the Russian government. Rosenstein dodged my question again and again -- and as I pressed him to assure the American people, the Republicans tried to shut me down, saying I needed to be more “courteous.” Then, days ago, while I was questioning Attorney General Jeff Sessions, I was shut down yet again. This is hardly the first time the GOP has done this -- let us not forget when they silenced my friend and colleague Elizabeth Warren for trying to read a letter from Coretta Scott King about Jeff Sessions, or when they shut down Claire McCaskill for asking when Republicans will hold a public hearing on health care. Well, here is the truth, Adrian: I will not be silenced. We will not be silenced. The American people, who deserve the truth, will not be silenced. Not when the faith and integrity of our democracy is at stake. Senate Democrats will keep fighting to get to the truth, no matter what. You may not recall our phone conversation when I attempted to document for you the California Franchise Tax Board was ripping off senior citizens for $1 billion per year, by my "back-of-the-envelope" calculation from evidence I had gathered and extrapolated from my responses to a piece I did for "California Politics," an on-line newsletter, but we have it archived and you can read it at: http://adrianvanceshow.blogspot.com/2014/01/normal-0-false-false-false.html   I have formatted it as four one hour radio scripts and understand that I has been used.

I was probably one of the few who was not surprised with the way you treated Attorney General Sessions as I had been through your crushing, stamping mill-like hostile conversation style and as a boy I had a paper route in a working-class Democrat neighborhood in Illinois so I was used to "machine gun" delivery, threats and antagonism.

While you have done very well with your hit-and-run tactics I do believe you are going out of style as personal media is giving the people a taste for truth and you do not get to that with Gatling gun delivery designed to destroy the other side.  We are seeing a sunrise of intellectual verbal and written elegance previously unseen, but coming at us with a Miura bull charge at the speed of light.  While thinking you are modern and skilled in your ways, they are out-of-date and pathetic in our sunrise, Kamala Harris.
