Greenhouse Effect?

"Greenhouse gas" is the label used to demonize carbon dioxide, CO2, methane, CH4 and all chloroflurocarbons.  The last two are not IR energy absorbers and there is no "greenhouse effect" in the atmosphere as gases cannot form surfaces like the glass that is responsible for greenhouses gathering and trapping heat physically.  

If there were a shield between the Troposphere and Stratosphere it would work both ways.  Sunlight would not enter, nor would any other light.  Earth would be utterly dark!  If there were a partial shield we would see a much greater intensity of sunlight when our rockets leave the atmosphere, but the increase is gradual and an expected function of the thinning atmosphere. 

Nonetheless, every Ph.D. scientist promoting this myth talks about "the greenhouse effect" with seeming authority.  They not only know better, but use the phrase as "comity code" telling peers, "Don't out my scam and I will not expose yours," justifying it with "We're getting more money for science!"  Ph.D. scientists universally feel they should be getting much more money from us because they are so much smarter than us!  That is not the way the world works.  We reward new products, processes and services.  And, they are not so damn smart.

American taxpayers have been defrauded of $1 trillion since 1988 by scientists who think they are entitled to such money because they are smarter than ordinary folks, but kissing butts and plagiarizing other's publications does not confirm genius or produce anything of value to the people.  Even if it did it certainly does not entitle them to other folk's money unless they have done something of value for them!  It is just that simple.

I grew up with these people as both my parents were college professors, but not in science:  Music and languages. They did not believe like most Ph.D.s as they had come from the sharp-elbows world of show-biz and were astounded at the naivety of the self-proclaimed elites. 

The prototype professor is a spoiled brat who has heard all his life how "smart" he is by "helicopter parents," but a survey published in a pop-psychology magazine in 1958 showed the average Ph.D. had an I.Q. of 106 just like most people!  You should have seen how that article stunned the faculty at our college!  It was a hoot, but I think I was one of the few amused.  All I had to say was, "Did you see the IQ survey in Psychology Today" and I could cast a pall on a faculty function I had beed dragged to.

A more recent survey is showing them to be in the 124 IQ range which is the top 2%-3% and that is very good.  The outstanding characteristic they have, in my experience, is that they love school and kissing butts.  With "global warming," they have ruined science education and are about to ruin America.  Their signature issue is “Greenhouse gas” and that alone is an indictment:

Greenhouses are seen on estates or farms growing out-of-season flowers, fruits and vegetables.  They create warm micro-climates in cold ones with increased CO2 plants need to make stems, stalks, leaves, flowers and fruits.  42% of every plant's dry mass is carbon gleaned from air.  The atmosphere needs a lot more CO2 according to the plants.  We can tolerate up to 15% and would do very well with 1%, 25 times what we have now. The “greens” tell us such levels would destroy the atmosphere and they would not, but that is not the only problem.  They are lying to us about the "greenhouse effect."

A “greenhouse" is covered with glass plates in order to capture sunlight so the heat generated by it is trapped to create an ideal microclimate.  The physics of this process is usually not understood. All is not as it seems.

At any angle below 45 degrees an incident solar beam is totally reflected and nothing passes through the glass.  Surface reflection phenomena are seen on water as it is a property of transparent surfaces. At angles above 45 degrees a portion of the light passes through the glass. The amount is equal to the sine of the angle which for 45 degrees is 0.707 and for 90 degrees it is 1.00 or as percentages 70.7% and 100% transmission respectively with a mean value of 0.85 between 45 and 90 degrees.

Solar panels and greenhouses are about 85% efficient at passing energy for six hours of the day if the glass contains no iron ions as iron blocks some of the red side spectrum.  Glass with iron looks green on edge and that without iron appears clear or blue so iron can be avoided.

Solar radiation entering is absorbed by plants and objects in the enclosure, warming the air for a true “greenhouse effect.”  A greenhouse does this as heat energy quanta emitted by heated molecules are at all angles and only a small percentage are directed precisely at a right angled glass pane.  Everything else is reflected back to the interior or absorbed by the building or plants.

“Climate Change” promoters claim stratospheric CO2 traps solar infrared, IR, heat energy, holding it in the atmosphere by reflecting it back to Earth.  Gases cannot form “shields,” as they claim and there is so little gas at the top of the Troposphere their claim is a joke. 
Reflecting surfaces can only be formed by solids and liquids where molecules are in contact.  In gases they cannot form.

CO2 is a “trace gas” in air with a much higher concentration in lower levels than the stratosphere due to the high molecular weight of CO2.  Nitrogen has a molecular weight of 28 and oxygen of 32. A prototype “air molecule” has a molecular weight of 29 due to unequal quantities.  CO2 has molecular weight of 44 and this is critical.

Per Graham’s Law gases diffuse at rates inverse to the squares of their densities, which are respectively 1.29 g/l for “air,” and 1.96 g/l for CO2.  Thus, we would see an (1.29)^2/(1.96)^2 ratio or 43% of the CO2 in the stratosphere as we would in the troposphere, lower atmosphere where it is already rare with only 0.039%.  In the stratosphere there is only 0.0210%  CO2!  This is ridiculous for molecules that have to be in contact to make a surface when there is only one CO2 for every 5917 molecules of other kinds and very widely separated by the low pressure at 60,000 to 100,000 feet.  

The atmosphere cannot act like a “greenhouse” and there are no “greenhouse gases.”  If there were such gases the daylight sky would be black!  Thus:  “Climate Change is a fraud on basic physics alone.  There is no such thing as a “greenhouse gas.”
