Asyouknow,studentsaregraduatingtodaywithanaveragedebtofover$25,000,andthenationwideamountofoutstandingstudentloandebtexceedscreditcarddebt. AccordingtotheU.S.DepartmentofEducation,studentsatprivate,forprofitcollegesaccountfornearlyhalfofallfederalstudentloandefaults,whiletheymakeuponly13percentofallstudentsenrolledinpostsecondaryeducationalprograms.

Inordertoprovidedebtrelieftovictimsofunfairanddeceptivepracticesinhighereducation,defensetorepaymentallowsstudentborrowerstohavetheirloansdischargediftheircollegeshaveengagedincertaintypesofunlawfulconduct. Iunderstandyouareopposedtothedefensetorepaymentprocessbecauseyoubelieveitwillresultinhighcoststotaxpayers.

PleaseknowthatwhileIrecognizesomeforprofituniversitiesprovidesomestudentswitheducationalopportunities,Ihavegraveconcernsabouttheamountofstudentloandebtincurredbystudentsofthosecolleges. Studentswhohavebeendeceivedbyfalsejobplacementratesandotherfraudulentadvertisingbytheirschoolsshouldbeprovidedwithoptionstoavoidbeingleftwithaworthlessdegreeandalargepileofdebt.

Highstudentdebtcanimpacttherestofanindividual’slife. Itisimportantthatstudentsaregiventheaffordablehighqualityeducationtheydeserve. PleaseknowthatIappreciatehearingyourthoughtsandIwillkeeptheminmindshouldrelevantlegislationcomebeforemeintheSenate.

Do you every have the feeling your days are running together into one big snarl of conflicting ideas, tiresome people, having to deal with too many who cannot do anything for you since you defined your objective to be the first duly elected person to make one billion Dollars while in office?  How many can contribute to that now that you are over your goal having cleaned up on trade deals weapons votes.

Ihavetriedtorunallmywordstogetherlikeyoudo,apparentlytosavespaceorpunishwetowhomyoufeelobligedtorespondtoinspiteof,inmycase,notevengivingyouadime.IreallyadmireyoursticktoittivenessinmycasebutIamgettingaheadachedoingthis.
