Most Americans understand that climate change is real and are concerned about it. But most still see climate change as a faraway threat, in both time and place, and as something that threatens the future of polar bears but not necessarily people. The reality, however, is starkly different: climate change is already causing problems in communities in every region of our nation, and from a doctor’s perspective, it’s harming our health.

Most Americans are not aware of the health harms of climate change. A recent survey showed that most Americans have not considered how global warming might affect people’s health, and few (32%) can name a specific way in which climate change is harming our health. Few are aware that some groups of Americans—including our children, our elders, the sick and the poor—are most likely to be harmed by climate change. None of these survey findings is surprising. There has been relatively little public discussion of the health harms of climate change. But we also know people are eager to hear from us. Most survey respondents said, in fact, that their primary care physician is a trusted source for information about this topic.

We—physicians in medical societies representing over half of the nation’s doctors—see a need to share our growing understanding and concern about the health consequences of climate change with all Americans.

It has long been my concern the money and power behind the "man-caused global warming" fraud would drive the conclusion to an overwhelming success the forces of fascism would use to take the nation as Hitler did Germany with his ideas. It will be illuminating to see how well this campaign works.

While all physicians took high school Chemistry and Physics courses, college Chemistry and maybe Physics enough time has passed since the dilution of these courses has removed from them such as the Le Chatelier Principle applied to gases in the atmosphere, as it is the key to understanding atmospheric physics.

Knowing how the atmosphere works renders the idea of a trace gas like CO2 controlling it ridiculous.  The only reason the elected ruling class is picking on CO2 is that it is a product of engines that make 80% of our kinetic energy.  The taxing and control of that much of our energy production will give them more money and power than they have had since the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 AD, just before the Scientific Method was defined by Albertus Magnus and Roger Bacon at the University of Paris (Sorbonne) and published.

Most Americans do not believe climate change is controlled by man's production of CO2.  They do understand seasons because of our tilt relative to the apparent axis of our obit, whirling "dance" with the moon and variations in the solar cycle.  They may even understand that solar nuclear chemistry is changing and the sun's output will decline only to increase explosively at some point, but we will be gone by then as we, like all others, are a transitional species.  We are not forever, no part of us, save our stone carvings and some works will be here to see the end of the solar system, but that day is set in the nucleons of the elements in the sun and stars only for us to wonder, but never know or witness as the CO2 war expands.
