Break Out The Champagne

A local hard-left, retired real estate agent, with whom I dealt and was responsible for 1/4th of his income in 2003/4 has a radio show where he weekly bashes me as "a local nut case who doesn't believe in global warming..."  "...not a scientist, a fraud," "hasn't been in a lab in 50 years" and other insults just announced he is leaving the air as his children insist he quit since Donald Trump was elected as "there are so many crazy people out there."  While he did not say I was in that class most of his listeners had no doubt I was included.

KPFZ FM is a local non-profit station that grew out of the "low power" license law that was passed in 2000 AD and then grew well enough to become a full power broadcaster.  I had a weekly show there for two years in spite of my politics being 180 degrees out-of-phase and was amazed the General Manager, GM, put up with all the complaints he had to listen to over what I was saying.  They finally broke him a I was kicked off, but I continued to call other shows and apparently have kept my audience.

KPFZ performs an important community service and my opinion is that where 40% of the local voters are Republicans they are throwing away a lot of audience and membership support.  I rag on the GM about this as we have remained friends, but he moves like molasses in a December Minnesota.  Now they are in a critical funding situation so I proposed a $1,000 bet with Mr. Grant that I could prove "...CO2 is innocent."  I also asked that he apologize for his insults as he is generating "...an illegal signal" per FCC regs that I am familiar with having an FCC Commercial Broadcasting License.

My three letters on this matter and the "CO2 Is Innocent" file are a study in how to nail people of this kind without using an attorney, the courts and making a lot of people mad forever.  I will send the whole of it as PDF files to requests at: "adrianvance@dslextreme.com  I think you will enjoy it.
