KPFZ Lake County California's "free speech community radio station" has many shows produced by local, non-professional producer-hosts including "Voices of Lake County" by Mrs. Olga Martin Steele, wife of a County Supervisor.
On January 7, 2017 Mrs. Steele had two guest Mexican teenagers who are undocumented, illegal aliens. The young man was the Valedictorian of his high school class and the young lady is in a teacher-training program. Clearly, these are fine young people and worthy of citizenship speaking in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens from Mexico.
These Millenials were brought here as children and have both done well. A caller said, "OK, you are fine young people and we need more citizens like you, but what about the ones who break the laws? What should be done with them?"
I was very surprised to hear silence. They could not answer the question! Only after considerable prodding they began a "tap dance" regarding the crime arguing, "It depends..." Of course we have classes of misdemeanors, felonies and violent felonies causing bodily harm, but that does not excuse the will to commit crimes in the first place. Generally latinos have a good work ethic which makes minor theft even less understandable.
Clearly their allegiance was to those of their culture over their new country. How much of a problem is this and should this be a focal point in both our determination of who goes and who stays as well as the education of those coming to America to be citizens. And, does it suggest our own young could be better taught about citizenship as they are not taught well today, other than to vote Democrat since the schools were taken over by the unions.
We think this is an important question that should be at least greeted in attaining citizenship as well as maintaining it. The issue may even guide us to building island colonies where we send various levels of criminals to let them work it out and become worthy of citizenship. In other words, we could have levels, or classes, of citizenship for dealing with criminality rather than shutting people away in prisons.
Considering citizenship in this light brings us to the case of Islam as it is a religion that isolate its' people, has them abide by the "Sharia Law" of the Qur'an. Sharia is at odds with our culture as it includes marrying first cousins, death penalties for leaving the faith, women accusing men of rape without four male, unrelated witnesses to the rape plus a death penalty for the accuser! Girls dating out of the faith suffer a death penalty.
The Qur'an instructs on lying to "the infidel," "Tell him what he wants to hear." Muslims are not to pay interest on loans, but are to engage in trickery for business dealings with "infidels." The Koran is a manual and battle plan for taking over world for Islam. Islam is not a religion in our definition.
If we were serious about defending America we would ban Islam as it is completely at odds with our concepts and definition of religion. Seeing infidels as enemies to be killed if they do not "bow down to the prophet." The march of Islam is that of World War III and it is under way now. The soft-headed, "If we're nice them they will be nice to us," axioms of liberalism are suicidal. "Leading from behind" is just as insane as it is nonsensical. It is time for us to awaken once and for all!
Something as simple as a single question on a local talk radio show can open a discussion leading to the most critical issues of the day and it has happened on the "Voices of Lake County."
