intensity and frequency of extreme weather events. A survey of official weather

half of the 20th century had more extreme weather than the second half, when
anthropogenic global warming is claimed to have been mainly responsible for
observed climate change. The disconnect between real-world historical data on
the 100 years’ time scale and the current predictions provides a real conundrum
when any engineer tries to make a professional assessment of the real future
value of any infrastructure project which aims to mitigate or adapt to climate
change. What is the appropriate basis on which to make judgments when theory
and data are in such disagreement?"

Carbon dioxide, CO2, is a trace gas in air and actually one we need more of, not less. The green plants that produce all of our food and half of our wealth, the part we cannot live without. We can make a strong case for the fact man is here to burn stuff and make CO2 for the plants that produce our food, fuel, fiber and building material. The atmosphere is painfully short of carbon dioxide, CO2 with only 0.04% there is so little of it the American Meteorological Society, AMS, will not recognize it is there!
The AMS insists to be considered in the atmosphere a gas must have more than one percent presence. CO2 needs to increase 25 times to be considered by the only authentic atmospheric scientists in the field, but men with degrees in astrophysics, forestry, mechanical engineering, and one lady with a degree in Eastern Religions, are promoting panic that anything over 0.04% will turn America into Death Valley!
They have gotten nearly $1 trillion in grants for papers opposing the basic fact all molecules are the same. They claim "man-made CO2 stays in the atmosphere 1,000 years!" and get $1 million for a 38 page paper "proving it," but on reading you will see no proof. This offends every honest science-trained person deeply and has cleaved deep rifts in these professions damaging them severely.
The damage extends to the textbook industry where concepts like "greenhouse gases" claiming CO2 forms a layer that is a one-way trap for heat energy, Infrared Rays, IR, are taught along with much environmental "science" at the expense of the real thing. We saw an example of the bottom line recently in Oakland, California resulting in the death of five young people.
University of Irvine chemists Molina and Rowland hatched the "Ozone Hole" hypothesis in the 1970's claiming that Freon(tm), the finest industrial chemical ever created was gobbling up ozone in the upper atmosphere and should be banned. The elected ruling class saw this as an opportunity for more taxes, EPA inspectors, etc. so they gave Molina and Rowland $60,000 to prove their case. They produced a paper with hypothetical equations that were impossible, but no one objected. In fact, they got a Nobel Prize for them! One million Dollars for a myth.
Dr. Rowland has passed on, but Dr. Molina is at MIT still trying to make the equations work. They have not been observed in nature, but in response to the question, "Why don't we see this at the North Pole?" NASA responded with seven U2 flights over the pole at an altitudes where the "[ClO]" product radical could be expected if Molina and Roland were right. The first six flights produced nothing so they changed the path to fly over the fjords of Norway and bingo! [ClO] was captured and it was announced the Molina-Rowland hypothesis and equations were confirmed!
Well-traveled SCUBA divers know "Macrocystis" kelp grows in two places on this planet. In the North Pacific ocean and the fjords of Norway. Every cell of this plant includes one crystal of iodine, a metalloid, "almost metal," and the process produces chlorine gas from the chloride ions common in seawater that get into the reaction system, but are then released. This is the chlorine likely captured by the U2 aircraft and someone at NASA knew what they were doing. NASA has many in the scientific diving community in California.

When a leak developed in a large, restaurant scale refrigerator a fire broke out that was fatal to five, but now every refrigerator in America is loaded with this same stuff that was brought to us by one of the greatest frauds in history, but nothing like the "global warming" scam. We can only hope and pray for the end of climate change.
