A Note From Hillary

Adrian --

I want to take a minute to address the idea that Donald Trump is anything other than the rock-throwing bully he's proven himself to be since day one of his candidacy.

This is a man, after all, who launched his bid for the White House by calling Mexican immigrants "rapists" and "criminals." This is a candidate who regularly retweets white supremacists. Who blasted out an anti-Semitic image over Twitter -- a graphic originally posted on a white nationalist website. A guy who publicly gushes over the reputation of Alex Jones: the conspiracy-theorist radio host who claims that the Sandy Hook massacre was just a hoax.

The people that Trump lifts up are the type who take pride in being prejudiced. They are eager to race-bait and enjoy fanning flames of discrimination and distrust. Today they support his campaign. If he wins this election, Trump will be elevating their voices from the White House.

Let's take one of his latest hires: Steve Bannon, the former leading man of the alt-right, conservative-fringe website Breitbart.

Under Bannon's leadership, Breitbart published articles with headlines such as: "Would You Rather Your Child Had Feminism or Cancer?" and "Hoist It High And Proud: The Confederate Flag Proclaims A Glorious Heritage."

But Bannon's just the latest example of the nasty, toxic ultra-conservative undercurrent that's been influencing Trump for over a year now.

There's always been a paranoid fringe in our politics, steeped in racial resentment. But it's never had the nominee of a major party stoking it, encouraging it, and giving it a national megaphone. Until now. Donald Trump has given them a microphone, bringing them out of the shadows and planting them center stage in our national dialogue.

Trump is running a campaign fueled by callousness and divisiveness. To me, that's flat-out unacceptable -- and should concern all Americans, regardless of party. Today, I'm taking a stand against this movement of hate. Please, chip in now to stand with me in this fight.

Dear Mrs. Clinton:

Thank you for your recent note and the opportunity to discuss these matters:  The major problem with Democrats is that you do not want to discuss or debate anything you can repress.  "Climate Change," for example, wanting to put all we who say it is natural, CO2 is trace gas of no significance other than for the plants that feed us.  Rather than test that idea you want to put me in prison for what I say and think!

Republicans freed the slaves then Democrats created the KKK, Democrat southern Governors "stood in the schoolhouse door" to stop integration of the races and you call Republicans bigots?  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican until John F. Kennedy had him change for purely political reasons so a Democrat killed him!

You claim you were "Dead broke, or worse!" on leaving the White House, but are now worth hundreds of millions of Dollars.  The IRS documents your "charitable foundation" only gives 10% of what it collects to the needy.  What plans do you have for that money?  Your shakedowns of foreign despots and Russian uranium buyers for State Department favors are now a matter of public record, but not one word of the documentation has been in the major media.

You claim the rich are evil and not entitled to earned wealth, but you took $21.6 million from them for 20 minute speeches while you were the Secretary of State.  Now you say you will not grant them any special favors!  Have you asked how they feel about that?  They are people that make investments for profits.  From taxpayer's?

Elon Musk made a $110,000 contribution to Mr. Obama and got $5 billion in loan guarantees for a business that is sure to fail:  Electric cars?  Please, that's for toys.  He also wants to put tubes in the ground to shoot people across the country at 2000 miles per hour. That they would all be dead from accelerations, heat generated in the system and have a high accident probability are not mentioned in his proposal, but he is a good donor so he gets away with it.  His companies have never made a profit, but he is listed as a billionaire! That could only be with our money!  How does that happen?

Mrs. Clinton, you have so many questions to answer I doubt that you can live long enough to address them.  Thanks, but no thanks. Nonetheless, I do appreciate a note from Hillary.

Adrian Vance
