Adrian -- It has been 155 days since President Obama nominated Judge Merrick Garland to fill the Supreme Court vacancy. That means that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his colleagues have refused to do their jobs and hold a fair hearing and up-or-down vote on the President's nominee for 155 days. Just think about that for a minute. That's unprecedented -- and frankly, it's outrageous. Now consider this: It's part of his plan. Senator McConnell is hoping that as the days go by, the grassroots movement will get worn down and discouraged. His scheme to snub President Obama by letting the next president fill the seat relies on us backing down and going away -- but together, we can make sure that doesn't happen. We can't back down -- the fight to protect the Supreme Court is too important. Chip in now. This is bigger than party or politics -- it's about our democracy. The American people deserve a judicial system that works. That's why OFA supporters have has been working hard across the country to ensure that a person who is indisputably qualified to sit on the nation's highest court is given a fair hearing. Chip in today: https://my.barackobama.com/Pitch-In-Today Thanks,  Brandon Brandon Salesberry,  Director of Finance, Organizing for Action -------------------------------------------- Dear Brandon: I agree that Mitch McConnel was in error by not having hearings on the Garland nomination to the Supreme Court.  We could have had a field day of hearings after our investigators dug up every little bit of dirt on Judge Garland, from junior high school on, find a few girls he offended, cook up a nutcase like Anita Hill and convince her that she was offended by something he said, trash him forever to make points with the people that watch The Kardahsians, Bill Maher, Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow.  They love such crap. Adrian Note:  The art of disarming a liberal is to first agree with them and then twist the point to show they are ridiculous.  If you find some facts to dispel their contentions, all to the better!
