Republicans act as though Social Security is a threat to America. But the truth is, over the past 81 years it’s brought the poverty rate for seniors from over 50% to below 10%. That’s why we’re so thankful President Obama has fought to protect it. For its 81st anniversary this Sunday, we’re sending him a card to say thanks. Will you sign?

Thanks, DCCC ---------------------------------- Gentlemen: I do not take kindly to your badgering me to sign a thank you card to a man who is apparently so egomanical he cannot let a day go by unless thousands of people tell him he is wonderful.  Such a man is clinically insane! If Mr. Obama had rescinded LBJ's Executive Order putting the Social Security Trust Fund into General Revenues, I would sign your card.  If Mr. Obama had then allowed the trust fund to be invested professionally in high quality stocks and bonds, which would also boost the economy by underwriting needed municipal, infrastructure facilities I would send him a bottle of Glen Livit, single malt Scotch Whisky, which I know he would not drink as he is a Muslim, but leave it there for Mr. Trump and thus get two bangs for my buck.
