This book by Dr. John R. Lott, Ph.D., an academician liberals
should love in their usual “I.Q. Adoration Syndrome,” IQAS,” think anyone
“real smart” can do no wrong, hold public office and land an airliner if the
pilot dies, but not so for Dr. Lott. He is a (gasp) conservative!
Dr. Lott held research positions at
academic institutions including University
of Chicago, Yale
University, Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, University of Maryland and the American Enterprise Institute. His Ph.D. in Economics
is from UCLA, His research areas are econometrics, forensic economics public
choice theory, industrial organization, public
finance, microeconomics, labor
and environmental regulation.
Dr. Lott studied gun crime data from states finding 22 had much less gun crime. All had conceal carry laws! Criminals
know anyone can whip out a pistol and respond in bullets. This is a simple fact, but beyond liberal capacity. We saw this confirmed when Dr. Lott (lower right corner) was interviewed by Piers Morgan and Alan
Dershowitz in a typical TV ambush of “real smart” liberals flogging one conservative while frothing at the mouth, side-stepping Dr. Lott’s facts, data and
analyses.
Why is any of this a mystery when the
murder rate in America
was one per 100,000 per year in the era of the gunfighter between our Civil War
and World War I? Today with all our gun
laws the rate is ten per 100,000 nationally and 200 to 300 per year in cities with
very strict gun control laws. Could it
be “Progressive” educators kept the facts from our books? Oh pshaw!.

The radio news is reporting that this mass murderer sent a detailed book about what he planned to do, and how he planned to do it, to a Psychiatrist at University of Colorado, that sat in the mail room for a week. It was just delivered Monday.

This is the kind of story you can only hope is not true, but having been raised on a college campus by two college professors I can believe it.
ReplyDeleteThe average person has no idea how much time some academics can waste, but sometimes you have to dream to make an advance, but not all the time.
What would be even worse, and also believable, would be that a psychiatrist got, read it and did nothing about it. Witness Penn State and the Sandusky affair. Not a lot worse in my book is the Michael Mann affair. After the East Anglia University email scandal broke and Mann so severely implicated himself in 17 emails that I found, where only one was well publicized, the Penn State Faculty Senate absolved Mann of any wrongdoing! The reason? He pulls in millions in grants. It is always the money. Academia has long been corrupt.
