Joe Biden has been an angry man for a long time even before he had to drop out of his 1988 Presidential Campaign after being outed for having plagiarized a well-known speech by English politician Neil Kinnek, word-for-word! This was a stupid move, part-and-parcel of the way Joe Biden operates. He had been disciplined several times while in both college and law school for having copied papers and claiming them to be his own. Joe is not smart enough to use published work and sources and build on them in the standard way of academic "research."
Joe topped this in 1990 by authoring "The Gun Free Zones Act" for schools and theaters. Shootings in those two locations, plus churches, were rare, but suddenly they were happening in schools typically once a month while in session, less frequently in theaters and churches, but one is too many. Now Joe comes to the fore claiming to be full of wonderful ideas under the aegis of "President Elect Joe Biden." They are, per his quote:
"Specifically, the Biden-Harris administration will:"
1. "Spur public-private investment
through a new small business opportunity plan." No details, new concepts. etc.
2. "Reform opportunity zones to
fulfill their promise." No details, new concepts. etc.
3. "Make a(n) historic commitment to
equalizing federal procurement.
"Equaliziing?" With what? No details, new concepts. etc.
4. "Ensure the Biden-Harris housing
plan makes bold investments in home ownership and access to affordable
housing for Black, Brown and Native Families." No details, new concepts. etc.
5. "Achieve equity in management,
training, and higher education opportunities connected to the jobs of the
future." This literally says nothing!
6. "Boost retirement security and
financial wealth for Black, Brown, and Native Families." No details, new concepts. etc.
7. "Ensure workers of color are
compensated fairly and treated with dignity." Where have you been Joe? This has been happening since the 1960's
8. "Ensure equity in Biden’s bold
infrastructure and clean energy investments." No explanation, details, concepts. etc.
9. "Support second chances for
economic success." "Second chance" from what? Jail, failure or what?
10. "Strengthen the Federal Reserve’s focus on racial economic gaps." This is classically illegal, immoral and stupid. No details, concepts. etc.
11. "Promote diversity and
accountability in leadership across key positions in all federal agencies." Have you noticed all the new female, black CEO's in our businesses? They are numerous, Joe.
12. "Build a 21st century care infrastructure." Please define. No details, new concepts. etc.
13. "Address longstanding inequities in agriculture." Does this mean legal standing for cows, pigs and chickens? No meat? No details, new concepts. etc.
We will examine these in detail in subsequent posts as some serious analysis, but overall what we see here is an attempt to define a man who after 39 years in the US Senate and eight in the Obama Administration as Vice President has nothing to be proud of unless it the millions of Dollars he has shaken out of people who are as or more evil than is he.

Those 13 promises Biden is making would make an academic economist proud and excited. For us common folks, it's all platitudes of empty and meaningless words that won't do us one bit of good.
ReplyDeleteHaving been raised on a college campus by two college professors and dragged to faculty functions in an era when it was fashionable to show the results of your best efforts I can confirm your hypothesis. Teachers have learned to think their only hope for more money is stronger government and higher taxes. Never forget that 80% of the faculty of the University of Heidelberg, Germany voted for Hitler who was elected "democratically."

ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how long the Democrats have been lying to the black people, literally through the Civil War as the entire Confederate States officials has been registered Democrats, as well the Grand Klegals of the KKK, and from then on have done nothing, but repress them, but they can't break the "We are slaves" curse! Some are catching on and moving to the Republican Party, but not fast enough to apparently save Mr. Trump. We are headed for darkness...

ReplyDeleteYou are right and we can only wonder what will happen when Biden is President and everything comes undone. He is not black so they won't feel constrained to never say anything bad about him. I am now wondering how many months it will be before they turn on him and start drubbing him as the economy crashes around him to say nothing of all the COVID-19 deaths they will longer be able to hang on Trump.
