U.S. Army Major General Harold Greene was buried August 26, 2014 at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors, including a caisson, two escort platoons, casket team, firing party, colors team, and a caparisoned horse.
The U.S. Army band, “Pershing’s Own,” played softly as the funeral procession made its way down the long hill past the rows of simple white gravestones to bring General Greene to his final resting place. He was assassinated by a Muslim we were trying to save from tyranny, such is the insanity of these people.
The graveside
service began with a few words, followed by a 13-gun salute. The major
general’s widow, Dr. Susan Myers, was seated in the front row. To
her right was their son 1st Lt. Matthew Greene, his daughter Amelia
Greene and Major General Greene’s father, Harold
Greene, Senior.
After three
rifle volleys and the playing of “Taps,” the American flag, once
placed on the major general’s casket, was carefully folded as the
band played “America the Beautiful.” U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray
Odierno presented the flag to his widow, and additional flags to
his children and father.

Notably several normally present at such funerals: the President, Vice President and Secretary of State were absent. Secretary of Defense Charles Hagel did attend. President Obama was playing golf at the time of the funeral.
I do not believe America will ever elect another "black man" President of the United States given the depth of disgust we see in this and in Ferguson, Missouri, to say nothing of the nation in last six years; never again.

Adrian, I hope you are wrong. I believe the best hope this once great nation has of surviving the next quarter century lies with the election of one Dr Ben Carson as POTUS. He is the smartest man in any room he enters and has a way of disarming even the craziest of liberals with his non-emotional well thought out fact based arguments. I for one am hoping he has the courage to run. I have had a Run Ben Run bumper sticker for several months already. Please help promote Dr Ben Carson because America needs. Doctor stat!
ReplyDeleteDr. Ben Carson is a very intelligent and skillful surgeon, but that does not mean he would make a great President. The scummy bunch in Washington, DC would eat him alive in the first year.
DeleteMany times in academia and business I have seen very intelligent, even brilliant men, appointed to management positions only to fall on their faces in frustration. The executive function is not one that requires brilliance. It does require great appreciation for talent, finding it and managing it.
I would like to see Dr. Carson in charge of the FDA or as the Surgeon General. Either position would put him in the Cabinet and there his intellect could come to bear without the evils of politics gnawing at his ankles.
The reason I think Dr. Ben Carson would be our best hope is that if you have watched him in debates he is able to fend off those coming attacks better than any other candidate with true conservative core values. He can surround himself with a cabinet for the management side. Cruz just irritates too much of the population and Rand will be attacked by the neocons before the Dems even start.
DeleteProblem is that people like you are easily impressed. Carson has made statements that show he is conservative "with exceptions". In references to the second amendment he has said that he believes in the 2nd amendment but that certain people don't need to own certain guns and/or depending on where they live, referencing semi-autos characterized by the left as "assault weapons" - you can't have it both ways. Additionally, Carson made the statement, "He should have been convicted of something, like third degree murder or something", right after Zimmerman was acquitted. This shows that he was black through and through, even after all of the evidence and the jury proved Zimmerman's innocence he still "sided" with the black outcry.
DeleteWhere was this strong opponent of Ovomit prior to the first fraudulent election(?), where was he after he was ILLEGALLY put in office(?), where was he prior to Ovomit's second illegal run for office(?), did he vote for Ovomit in the first election(?). Carson only appeared after the second election and in opposition of Ovomitcare because as a doctor he knew this law would affect his profession. No one knows anything about this man other than he is/was a neurosurgeon. He's no patriot, not even close. Carson now sees an opportunity for celebrity (interviews, speaking engagements, political office), his name in lights, etc.
As far as Cruz, those on the right who insist that he should run are likewise FOOLS! Cruz, as with Ovomit, does NOT meet the eligibility requirements to run for POTUS! The battle is still going on to try to get rid of everty law, executive order, and decision that Ovomit has initiated/enacted, as well as possible eventual prosecution for illegally holding that office, but that will ALL go out the window if conservatives accept Cruz and he wins.
Then unfortunately if that is the case we better get ready for the hildebeast.

DeleteWhen I send this to morons I include a photo of the author.
This is an excellent piece by Dr. Walter Williams, black conservative, author and college professor who occasionally subs for Rush Limbaugh. He very well predicted that Obama would fail, is not genuine and will be the reason we may never have another black President. I have recently come to that conclusion and Dr. Williams was there in 2008!
DeleteUnfortunately, I feared this when Obama was running for election. The problem wasn't that he was a black man, the problem was that he was the wrong black man (with his "record" and ideology, he was also the wrong white man, Hispanic man, Asian, pacific islander, etc.).
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Ferguson and President Obama is black folks will be painted with a very broad brush. Now, events like Ferguson are "good" for the race-grievance industry because the only way they can get more out of us at this time is by threats and extortion. They have exhausted our good will and Christianity so all they have left is extortion.
I really doubt that we will ever see another black man nominated by either major political party in this country. Mr. Obama has stained his race, put the lie to Affirmative Action and dashed David Brooks "sharp crease in his pants" predictor of great success in the Presidency. And, I think it is imperative that a President have held high public office, preferably a Governorship.
DeleteI believe Ovomit has just made a dent. Most white libturd Americans are still strangling with the guilt of slavery and mistreatment of blacks. Many democraps are playing the game to look as though they are distancing themselves from Ovomit, but in essence are applauding the amount of control he has taken over this country, that none of the previous libturd (white) presidents have been able to do. The only reason that I could see that a black man might not have a chance is because the left now wants to be the first to put in a woman.
DeleteI agree with you it is amazing how much a magic shield is the threat of being called "racist!"
DeleteThe popular theory of success in politics appears to be "please everybody!" Well pardon me, but to win you only need 50% plus one vote. If you a really piss off 12%, i.e. the ""blacks" you may well make 88% of the people happy with your objectivity, clarity and resolve.
In 1938, at the age of 21, Carson McCullers wrote The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, which has a black physician with the "objectivity, clarity, resolve" we so need today. It was published in 1940, and despite the title, it is a grand, historical document that shows the state of this country just before WWII. I cannot recommend this book strongly enough. It speaks to the same issues we face today. I urge you to read it. When you consider the times and the age of the author, it is a work of genius, and gives some historical perspective to the present.
DeleteExcellent recommendation. I have not yet read it, but will look for a copy I am guessing that if you would add to that John T. Fuller's, "The Roosevelt Myth" and Jimmy Byrnes, "All In One Life" you would know everything about American politics you need to know and should be taught to our kids.
